The name Genmag is created from the words GENerator MAGnetics. AB stands for aktiebolag which is a Swedish limited liability company.
KROM
KROM stands for Kontroll ROtorMagnetism, which is Swedish for rotor magnetics diagnosis.
The history

The story behind KROM is that Mattias Wallin used Hall sensors for magnetic flux measurements in the air gap during his time as a PhD student at Uppsala University, Sweden. Hydropower generator owners got interested in the information they could get from the measurements. With time the measurement equipment and software evolved into the KROM system you see in these pages.
